Visit and Donation to Keta Municipal Hospital
So the Jay Foundation Team visited the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Keta Municipal Hospital on Good Friday, 19th April, 2019.
Kudos to the Dr. Emmanuel Anim, Auntie Lydia(the Matron) and their team for their relentless efforts towards the care of these miracle babies.
It was inspiring to know that both Doctor Anim and Matron Lydia were both born preterm at 29 weeks and a few days. Beautiful success stories indeed!
Preterm babies can thrive and be great too.
They have needs and we will gladly support soon with your help. Kindly call 0244762751 to donate in kind and/or send mobile money to 0245729197.
We found Baby Yao, who is so far the smallest baby born we have come across, she was born at 28 weeks with a weight of 0.5kg. She’s currently 1.5kg.
With joy we immediately decided to take care of Baby Yao and her mother, who has been asked not to come home with the baby since she’s a curse.
We need support to help educate and assure these mothers that their precious, miracle babies are not spiritual babies or a curse and they never asked to be born premature.
It is very sad and disturbing when we come across such cases.
We immediately donated some money to the mother to purchase food items so she can get enough breast milk to enable baby Yao thrive.
God help us all
Donors and sponsors are warmly welcome and will be appreciated.
Kudos to the Management and Staff of the Hospital.
